Our Story

From a Small Kampala Office to Uganda's Leading Consulting Firm

Ascend Consulting Uganda was founded in 2014 by a group of passionate professionals who saw a critical gap: talented Ugandans were being held back not by lack of ability, but by limited access to high-quality professional development resources.

What began as a small team of three coaches operating out of a modest office in Kololo has grown into a full-service consulting and coaching practice serving individuals, small businesses, NGOs, and corporate clients across Uganda and East Africa.

Over the past twelve years, we have refined our methods, expanded our team, and deepened our understanding of the unique professional landscape in Uganda — developing programmes that are not just imported ideas, but solutions built for this context.

12 Years of Growth & Impact

2014

Founded in Kampala

Ascend Consulting Uganda launches with a team of three, offering individual coaching sessions and communication workshops to Kampala professionals.

2016

First Corporate Partnership

We sign our first major corporate client — a leading Ugandan bank — delivering a 6-month leadership development programme for 80 managers.

2018

Team Expansion & New Office

Growing demand leads to a move to our current Kololo office and an expanded team of 12 coaches and consultants.

2021

East Africa Reach

We expand our services to clients in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda — delivering both in-person and virtual coaching programmes.

2024

850+ Clients Milestone

We celebrate our 850th individual coaching client and launch the Ascend Leadership Academy — our flagship group programme.

2026

Today

A team of 18 professionals, serving clients across East Africa, with plans to launch our first public training centre in Kampala.
